Facebook Frenzy

Facebook Frenzy

Last week I was having lunch with Martial Arts America founder, Andrew Wood, in Locanto, FL.

We ate outside at a nice Cuban restaurant on a beautiful Florida day and I had a perfect view of Andrew’s bright red Ferrari, which caught my eye every time I glanced over his right shoulder.

Anyhow, during lunch, Andrew said to me, “Do you use Facebook?”

I said, “No. I’ve never really gotten into it. I do have a Facebook account, but I rarely look at it and the whole thing kinda turns me off for some reason.”

He replied, “Yeah, I used to feel that way too. But it’s a big mistake. You really should start using it…if nothing more than to reconnect with all the people you know from the martial arts world and have helped over the years as an industry leader.”

So, I took Andrew’s advice.

I started social networking through Facebook about a week ago, updated my FB photo album with a load of never-before seen shots from the old days and began clicking through a pile of  FB “friend requests” that I had received during the past year, but never accepted.

Well, I’ve gotta tell you. Once I started – it was like the sky opened up. A true avalanche came crashing down upon me…

I instantly began reconnecting with all my old friends from the martial arts community. It’s been truly heart-warming to touch base with so many awesome martial arts school owners, fighters and competitors, celebrities, friends, company leaders, fighters, colleagues and associates that I once worked with when I was Vice President and President of NAPMA / MAPro Magazine for 15 years.

I definitely should have done this sooner. But it’s better to be late to the party than to not show up at all.

Right?

At this point, I already have nearly 1,000 friends on my Facebook account. And I’ve only been using it for about five days. What a great feeling to be back in the loop again!

So if you haven’t yet connected with me on Facebook, then please take a moment to do so now. Click the FB icon on my home page so we can link-up and stay in touch. I have many exciting projects in the works that you’ll definitely want to know about. And I may want to know what you’re up to these days, too. Keep me posted.

BTW – Andrew Wood is offering a 12-page “Special Report” called The Ten Key Lessons I Learned Running A Martial Arts School – That Changed My Life and Made Me Millions in the Real World. It’s valued at $19.95, but you can click on this link to download it for free:

Now in case you’re unaware, Andrew is a marketing genius and his techniques have made him millions in and out of the martial arts industry. (He’s one of many people and organizations I’ve chosen to work with these days.) So if you’re in business, I strongly encourage you to learn all you possibly can from him. He truly knows his stuff…especially when it comes to implementing affordable, cutting-edge, systems-driven, web marketing strategies. His modern and “cunningly clever” approaches to lead generation is is perfect for any martial arts school owner who want to grow quickly without breaking the bank.

So check out that report while you can – http://tiny.cc/vx8si8ssay

In the meantime…I’ll see ya on Facebook!
